Letter From A Green Beret, April 29

This week, my campaign took a HUGE step in my race to win the Republican nomination on June 21st. We’re up on TV with the first television ad of the primary! This is a crucial strategic step for the campaign to take, and we’re the first of the six candidates in the primary to do so. This is a major moment, and shows the strength of our campaign, the momentum we have, and it is all thanks to the 7,000 plus donors and even more supporters out helping our effort each and every day.

Watch the ad here and please share it with as many people as possible!

In addition to launching on television, I’ve spent the week traveling around the district meeting with voters, knocking on doors, visiting local small businesses, and meeting with local elected officials. In fact, we were in seven counties this week, including Spotsylvania, Stafford, Prince William, Madison, Greene, King George, and Caroline Counties.

I joined Larry O’Connor on WMAL Radio this week to discuss the race and why I am the best candidate to win the primary and then go on and defeat Abigail Spanberger in November. Take some time to listen to the interview, and let me know if you agree with my stance on bacon.

Andthe last bit of good news is that we announced yet another endorsement in our race. Supervisor Dustin Dawson in Madison County publicly endorsed me this week and had this to say: “It is time for the next generation to step up and serve. Derrick has served his country as a Green Beret and is that next generation of leadership that we need in Washington.” Thank you, Supervisor Dawson, for your support!

Also, the Greene County Record highlighted Greene County Board of Supervisor Davis Lamb’s endorsement of my campaign a few weeks ago. Check it out and spread the word!

As we head into next week, I want to remind you that early voting begins a week from today, Friday, May 6th, so check with your local county registrar’s office to determine the best time to stop by and cast your ballot!

Thank you for your continued support as we head into the final months of this race!

If you haven’t already done so, please join my next mission by visiting While you’re at it, invite 3 friends to do so as well!
