Now that I’ve got your attention, I wanted to share a brief update on my campaign to close out the week. We had a HUGE week and hit some major milestones over the past seven days. It’ll be a quick read and well worth your time. I promise!
OnMonday, my campaign announced raising over $520,000 since joining the race, making us the leader in the GOP primary field in money raised so far. Over 7,000 donors have entrusted me with their donations and believe in our campaign to defeat Abigail Spanberger and end Nancy Pelosi’s reign as Speaker of the House. I’m eternally grateful for everyone’s support.
Mycampaign crisscrossed the district knocking on doors in multiple counties and making campaign stops in Spotsylvania, Culpeper, Orange, Prince William, Madison, and Fredericksburg. We will be hitting the rest of the district next week!
In Culpeper, I sat down with the Culpeper Star-Exponent to discuss my race for Congress. You can read it on the front page today or read the article online.
On Wednesday evening we participated in a forum hosted by the Republican Women of Virginia in Woodbridge. All six candidates were in attendance. The questions were extremely thoughtful and everyone agreed on multiple issues and paths forward, especially this: Abigail Spanberger must be defeated in order to stop the far-left progressive socialist agenda being pushed by her, Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi and the entire Democrat party. Check out my response to the forum on our Facebook page and please follow us if you haven’t already done so!
My campaign also announced our two most recent endorsements from Greene County Board of Supervisor, Davis Lamb and my childhood friend and recently elected Spotsylvania County Board of Supervisor, Jacob Lane. I’m honored to have their support in this race for Congress. They join multiple members of Congress, including the only Green Beret in Congress, Mike Waltz and multiple veterans organizations, who have endorsed my campaign and joined our next mission.
Finally, our campaign is gaining a lot of attention. Just this week, the Culpeper Star-Exponent covered my race, as mentioned above. Also, Breitbart News and The Virginia Star highlighted my story and my reasons for running against Abigail Spanberger. Read those stories below!
The Virginia Star: VA-07 GOP Candidate Derrick Anderson Wants to Focus on Veterans Affairs Red Tape, Agriculture Fuel Costs and Supply Chains, and I-95 Issues
Early voting is just around the corner, beginning on May 6th. The primary election is on Tuesday June 21st. My campaign is working extremely hard to meet as many people around the district and to earn each and every vote. We need a conservative representing #VA07 in Congress, and I plan to be just that.
